Plagarism is the unauthorized use or close imitation of the language and thoughts of another author and the representation of them as one's own original work. After reading both articles, it can be said that students sometimes may copy information given in a website and put it in their own work. This can be mostly seen in projects whereby they are tasked to do some research. Therefore, it is important that students are educated on how to prevent copying information from the website and take it as their own. It is a serious offence and may led to some serious consequences, hence it should not be treated slightly. Primary level students, at such a young age, often don't fully understanding the meaning of plagarism, thus, school should conduct a talk on the serious offence of plagarism to raise awareness to the students. This is also a chance for them to learn to do their reports based on their own creative writing skills instead of 'copying' the whole chunk of paragraph from the website. Alternatively, they can credit the authors of the source. When students don't have the basic foundation of writing a proper report, they resort to plagarism. Thus, in conclusion, we should always credit the sources where you cite your information from. Students should be taught or reminded that plagarism is a serious offence. :) tricia
