After past few weeks of reviews of article, I've realised that I have come to concern more about what's happening around the world and what we can do to help save the world. Even a small action from us will make a difference. The article on plagarism had taught me the consequences of lifting chunks of paragraphs from a passage without crediting them and using them as own resources. It will eventually be marked as copying and will be given a penalty or fail grade. I remember I used to think that copying information from the website is no big deal untill I chance upon this article, I realised the seriousness of it. The article on reducing weightage of Mother Tongue have shown that Mother Tongue is becoming a less redundant language. As a Chinese, I have always love speaking in Chinese and watching Chinese drama or comedy show. This article had proven that quite a number of students are not coping well with their mother tongue language. It is such a pity. I don't understand why they can't do well if they have given in their hundred percent effort and try to speak more and read more relating to mother tongue. It had spur me to continue my interest in Chinese and read as widely as possible, even reading chinese newspaper do helps. Last but not least, the article on environmental issues had left a great impact on me. I've come to realise the importance of marine life and how it will lead to extinction of food cycle. And also the pollution of seawater will led to poisioning which may affect the fishes in the sea. These fishes may eventually die or if these fishes were brought into the markets for sale , if consume by human, it may led to food poisoning. Thus, we should treat this seriously and help to reduce water pollution. In conclusion, these past few weeks of blogging had allowed me to read more and know more about our world and I have developed a habit of blogging my own thoughts. - Tricia :)
